Chris Atkinson is a passionate educational leader who currently serves as a K-5 Principal in Carmel Clay Schools. Chris is a long time elementary teacher and technology coordinator, Google Certified Teacher, STAR Discovery Educator, blogger, podcaster, and presenter. Chris holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Taylor University and a Masters in Educational Administration from Ball State. Chris has presented at several venues; most notably ASCD, ISTE, ICE, and HECC; as well as virtually for Google and the Indiana Department of Education. Chris speaks on a variety of topics including: Google Apps in Education, Web Tools For The Classroom, Social Networking for Educators and Leaders, Educational Leadership for the 21st Century, and much more. His presentations are research based and are focused on best practices that bring education forward. Chris has served on both the HECC and ICE boards. Chris loves spending time with his family: wife Lindsay and two boys, Asher (6) and Jesse (4), traveling, reading, and digital design.
